IDPs in Tigray are Living “Between Life and Death” Says Commission of Inquiry on Tigray Genocide

Mekelle, August 13, 2025 (Tigray mass Media Agency)-In an event organized by Commission of Inquiry on Tigray Genocide on August 13, 2025, the Commission has released the findings of its investigation exposing genocide-related crimes, human rights violations, and the ongoing dire conditions faced by internally displaced persons in over 92 camps under the adminstration of Interim Government in Tigray.

The findings of the Inquiry Commission show that thousands of IDPs are living in overcrowded tents, exposed to extreme weather without adequate shelter, food, or clothing, and deprived of basic necessities for survival. These conditions, it reported, have caused severe psychological trauma, worsened illnesses, and led to deaths. Read more…
